Germany, Imperial. A Wound Badge, Gold Grade Hold the reverse centrepiece is fixed(Verwundetenabzeichen in Gold). Constructed of gilded bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central Stahlhelm on top of crossed swords on a hollow background, the reverse with a crimped and raised barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 38. 54 mm (w) x 43. 63 mm (h), weighing 8. 0 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
