A First War Italian 1St Infantry Division War Medal 1915-1918 Auction Archive This particular buckle is illustratedIn bronze, engraver marked "L ROSSIGNOLI", obverse illustrating the Italian eagle on the left attacking a German eagle lying on its back on the right, reverse inscribed "1a DIVISIONE DI FANTERIA GUERRA 1915 1918" inside an open ended wreath composed of laurel leaves on the left and oak leaves on the right, 26 mm, scattered oxidation and spotting evident on the obverse, light contact, very fine.
