"Alissa Sallah is a standout cartoonist and storyteller, just starting out on what is sure to be a notable career. In her debut graphic novel, Weeaboo, Alissa Sallahs produced an intricate portrait of fandom and the modern complexities that attend where and how we long for pleasure and escape.
