Acquired directly from a veterans estate this is an amazing bring back trench art helmet. The helmet itself is a M40 (model 1940) Q64. The shell is stamped Q64 indicating that Quist in Esslingen, Germany manufactured it. Size 64 is a nice large size that can accommodate liners from 56cm to 58cm or US 7 to 7 1 4.
