Here we have a very nice "Kentucky" style percussion pistol, which has been attributed to the North Carolina area. This design was very popular throughout the United States Frontier during the 1830s and 1840s, and was based on the "Kentucky" or "Pennsylvania" style rifles of the time. Like most, this example has an octagonal barrel with a cylindrical cap bolster, and the lock is unmarked and minimally engraved. As
