Marvelous Complete Antique Set of Handmade Bone Dominoes, Likely Sailor Made saltillo and I have to wonder

I weeded out a couple of broken ones—all of these are in terrific condition

4 1/8" x 3 3/8" x 1 5/8" t and in very good vintage condition

but really I don't think these have been much used

My guess is these with no wooden backs, just bone were sailor made, 19th century for sure, and one can just feel whoever that maker was carving out each piece and then every single dot.
