both dating to the mid-19th c I believe

almost like burlap

and makes me think it's time to get serious about actually playing marbles as well

My guess is that it dates from the 40s or early 50s and was once part of a longer train

Bright Eyed Child in Chair with Patterned Rug and Wallpaper, Beautiful Antique Mounted Photo scoop both dating to the mid-19thA wonderful photograph, with a terrific play of patterns and geometries all turned askew due to angle of the camera, but which framed a straight line across the bottom edge of this child's hat rim! Very rich tonally, dense with detail, very intimate feeling, and what a beautiful child. 5 1 4" x 4 1 4" overall and in good antique condition, c. 1900 or so I believe.
