After examination with a loop we have determined that the engraving of his name is of the punch type often conducted in the field

This was known as a HJ overseas cap or "Allgemeine jugend Sommer Mtze" (General HJ summer cap). It is a cotton twill tan colored cap with red rayon piping, cloth BEVO HJ cap insignia to the front and an original oilcloth RZM label inside with maker 154 stamp. Inside the sweat band is a name in ink that reads Walter von den Berg, very rare to see a named HJ piece. Overall condition is good, a wonderful piece for any
