and whoever made him put quite an extraordinary effort into decorating most every inch of his knit body with thousands of tiny French knots

or near the front door to inspire preparedness for the day

What I most like about him is that he is attached only at his feet

This one is far from that one, but I think she's got a lot of character and presence to her, especially in the face between those painted pink cheeks and very blue eyes and red pursed mouth and very long forehead. To me she looks both super wary and intensely determined. Circe 1920s or so I would guess, maker unknown. 8 1 16"
