"The Gun that Won the West!" This wonderful "frontier worn" Winchester repeating rifle is in . 44 40 caliber, confirmed by chamber measurements, as the original markings have been worn away. There is a "44" scratched into the bottom of the carrier block, but that is definitely not the original marking. It features a desirable 24" octagonal barrel and full length magazine tube. As with all examples, it is marked
