The stock does have some damage just forward of the lock

The blade is still full length

The Preußen issued Wappen in 1895 were intended to be made out of Tombak (an alloy made from a combination of copper and zinc) but it seems that the copper-color was unpopular and they were soon replaced with Aluminiumbronze which has a very bright brass appearance

This is a very nice example of the British Pattern of 1885 Cavalry Sword, complete with the original double ringed all steel scabbard. This pattern was one of the last Victorian issue cavalry swords issued by the British Army and saw service in the Mahdist War. The design features a slightly curved blade, a full sheet metal bowl guard, hard plastic type black grip plates.
