More Old Clay Marbles! Set One cast iron boat I really could not resist

I really could not resist this old student drawing on board of a very serious "Bert" to the rescue

and indeed I'd love to build a whole dressing room around it

with the horsehair woven through what seems likely to be linen cloth (visible just above the scalloped edge of the pink cloth)

but I am not really certain how old this piece is

More Old Clay Marbles! Set One cast iron boat I really could not resistI'm not over my obsession with old clay marbles, and have just added four new (old) sets to the shop. I really love how each batch I've found has a different personality, and, like rocks, each marble is unique. Just so lovely. About 50 marbles exactly as shown. They are making pretty dramatic shadows against this white plate! These average about 1 2" in diameter, some a little bigger, some a little smaller. I've tried to weed out any with much damage,
